Where we are now
The steep face along the fence line below the top blocks, facing east straight out to sea, above the track down to the beach. Under a third covered, and the most exposed aspect in the project.
What it becomes
Low, hard, windshorn native cover. Honest about the site: not every hectare of a headland like this should be drawn as forest.
Why this matters
Cover here holds the soil on a face that drops towards the sea, and it is the piece of the project a walker coming up from the beach meets first.
